Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli will attend the 12th Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation (IOR-ARC) Council of Ministers Meeting in Gurgaon, India, from 1 to 2 November 2012.


Singapore is a founding member of the IOR-ARC, which was first established in 1997 to promote economic cooperation and intra-regional trade among Indian Ocean littoral and island states.


Senior Minister of State Masagos will hold talks with some of his foreign counterparts attending the IOR-ARC meeting.  He will also meet with Chief Minister of Haryana Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and a group of Indian parliamentarians representing the ruling Congress Party and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).


Senior Minister of State Masagos will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
