Official Visit of His Excellency Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, 31 May to 2 June 2018

Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi will make an Official Visit to Singapore from 31 May to 2 June 2018 at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

An official Welcome Ceremony will be held in honour of Prime Minister Modi on 1 June. Prime Minister Modi will call on President Halimah Yacob, and meet Prime Minister Lee, who will host an Official Lunch. Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong will call on Prime Minister Modi on 2 June 2018. 

Prime Minister Lee and Prime Minister Modi will attend a business event on innovation and entrepreneurship at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre on 31 May 2018. On 2 June 2018, Prime Minister Modi will also visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens where an orchid will be named in his honour.

  Prime Minister Modi will deliver the Keynote Address at the 17th International Institute for Strategic Studies Shangri-La Dialogue on 1 June 2018.

  Prime Minister Modi’s visit reflects the close relations between Singapore and India and will build on the India-Singapore Strategic Partnership signed in 2015.
