The Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India Mrs Sushma Swaraj will make her introductory visit to Singapore from 15 to 16 August 2014 at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam.  Mrs Swaraj will be accompanied by senior Indian officials from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.


During her visit, Mrs Swaraj will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.  On 16 August 2014, Minister Shanmugam will hold a delegation meeting with Mrs Swaraj and host her to lunch.  Both Ministers will attend a cultural performance at the National University of Singapore (NUS) University Cultural Centre to inaugurate a series of commemorative activities in 2014 and 2015 to mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of India-Singapore diplomatic relations.
