Visit by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat to India, from 1 to 4 October 2019

Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Minister for Finance, Heng Swee Keat, will visit New Delhi, India, from 1 to 4 October 2019. During the visit, DPM Heng will meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders. DPM Heng will also meet prominent Indian business leaders and attend a reception with overseas Singaporeans.

In New Delhi, DPM Heng will co-chair the World Economic Forum (WEF) India Economic Summit (IES). At the IES, DPM Heng will speak about strengthening ties and deepening collaboration between South Asia and ASEAN, including on the digital economy. DPM Heng will also meet foreign counterparts on the sidelines of the Summit.

DPM Heng will be accompanied by Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for National Development, Desmond Lee, Minister of State, Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Manpower, Zaqy Mohamad, together with officials from the Finance, Foreign Affairs, and Trade and Industry ministries.
